Welcome to Center Hill Lake!

Welcome to Center Hill Lake! Located just an hour outside of Nashville, Center Hill Lake offers the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. CHL was created by the construction of the Center Hill Dam across the Caney Fork River. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers led the construction to its completion in 1948. Since then, Center Hill Lake has been a hot spot for boating, fishing, camping, wildlife watching, hiking, and so much more! Whatever your interest may be, there is something for everyone at Center Hill.

Waterfalls and State Parks

Center Hill Lake is home to several state parks and waterfalls that are sure to impress! A few that we recommend visiting include Burgess falls, Fancher falls, and Rock Island State Park. There is so much to explore whether you are vacationing for the week or getting away for the day! With 18,000 acres of lake, you're sure to find the perfect spot to get in some quality fishing! Fish such as bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish can be caught from the shoreline or from a boat! It's important to remember that all fisherman age 13 or older are required to have a valid Tennessee State fishing license.

Escape and Relax

Vacationing at Center Hill Lake is about escaping from the everyday stresses of life. It's about taking the time to unplug and unwind all while making long-lasting memories with the people you love, and we would love to be a part of that experience. As far as lodging we offer both cabin and houseboat rentals, but if you're looking to just get away for the day we also offer pontoon rentals! El Lago Mexican Restaurant is open year-round serving up authentic and delicious food, and is the perfect way to end your day at Center Hill Lake.
